HaslerRail’s REM 102 is a certified indoor device to measure the amount of electrical energy consumed during operation. It tracks both active energy and regenerative energy for AC and DC systems. Meters are crucial for efficient energy management, allowing rail operators to monitor consumption, optimize energy use, and reduce costs. Via its DCS HaslerRail’s EMS can facilitate energy billing and help in analysing the energy efficiency of different routes or trains. By providing detailed data on energy consumption, energy meters support sustainable practices and contribute to the overall environmental goals of railway operations.
The REM 102 is modular and flexible, allowing integration of the Energy Calculation Function (ECF), which calculates consumed and regenerated energy from voltage and current inputs, and the Data Handling System (DHS), which produces and records Compiled Energy Billing Data (CEBD) and transfers it via the integrated communication module (GSM-R, 3G, 4G, or Wi-Fi) to the ground-based Data Collection System (DCS). The REM102 can also be used with the Sécheron Hasler Group TEMS Energy Portal as the DCS.
“REM 102 in combinatio with DMeter ECF can be used to have a distributed architecture of ECF that can be used to monitor the whole train consumption but also what is the Energy usage of selected subsystem. HaslerRail REM 102 distributed architecture can serve also Hybrid architecture such as Hydrogen train.
