EVA+ Cloud is a powerful web-based solution used extensively by train operators. Users include safety teams as part of statutory incident investigations, driver managers to execute journey analysis and coach drivers on optimal driving techniques, service performance and planning staff to assess timetable adherence and achievability, infrastructure managers to identify where maintenance intervention is required, and control room staff to monitor safety-related events and reduce in-service delays and maintenance engineers for the in-depth route cause analysis.

EVA+ Cloud receives and translates analogue and digital signals and, where available, ETCS messages from onboard systems. EVA+ Cloud can also blend and enrich data from third-party sources such as journey timetables and energy consumption. For operators of passenger and freight services connectivity and information are key. By combining on-board technology and software solutions we unleash the full power of Big Data analytics to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations in large amounts of raw data. This provides operations and maintenance teams with valuable insights and empowers them to make data-informed decisions.

In addition to being able to carry out in-depth signal analytics, EVA+ Cloud customers can write their own business rules to monitor the data received and generate events. Events can also be linked to notifications which can be sent to selected members of staff. Further, users of EVA+ Cloud can produce reports and dashboards which can be used to highlight key performance indicators and where appropriate identify necessary remedial action. For operators who operate their own data warehouses the data within EVA+ Cloud can also be securely accessed using a standard application interface.

Modules

The EVA+ Foundation module includes features such as Signal Analytics, Advanced Search, Data Coverage and Manual Event Recorder File Upload.
The Signal analytics feature sits at the heart of the Foundation module and provides a powerful way to combine and analyze analogue and digital signals. Intermediate analysis can be saved and shared by using a rich and customizable templating mechanism. The results of the analysis can be viewed in a graphical and tabular format.

This module provides an overview of occurrences of preconfigured events, using powerful and flexible pivot table, graphing and geographic map clustering functionalities. Users can select the events to be analyzed, their dimensions, aggregate functions to be applied, and the most appropriate visualization. This way correlations, abnormal behaviour or long-term trends can easily be recognized.

The EVA+ Cloud API allows customers to maintain control of the data residing in EVA+ while at the same time making it available to other stakeholders and/or applications. The datasets available from the API depend upon the modules and features the customer selects.
